You Cannot Serve Two Masters!

Learn how to hone your discernment edge.

Spiritual discernment is to distinguish between truth (that which is legal – aligned with the revealed will of Yehovah) and falsehood (that which is lawlessness). To understand if the perception presented to you as an individual or group is aligned with the Torah, with the recorded words of Yeshua, with the judgment given by the Apostles, all along weighing the reason said perception is presented at that moment, you must use discernment. You cannot be moved by your means. Money is a tool, which may or may not be used by Yehovah on your behalf or through your behalf. The greatest tool is Scripture; whether poor or rich; all are accountable unto the instructions of Yehovah. “All Scripture is Elohim breathed and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,” “All Scripture” in the time of the Apostles, meant all that was contained within the Tanakh.

Accept Yehovah as your Elohim (God) or reject Him for eternity! You cannot follow anyone or any origination, or fellowship that would put into your mind that Yehovah’s instructions are no longer valid and that there is ‘another’ god to listen to! If this offends you; you do not have the fear of Yehovah in your life! You have built a ‘golden calf’ or accepted one built by others in which you want to worship this god of the Hebrews. Repent!

Key notes

  1. Kingdom Mentality
    • Individual Freedom
  2. Sovereignty of Yehovah
    • Entering the house with the son

Kingdom mentality is so foreign to the Western world that if one seeks to study the Scriptures and rejects the reality that Yehovah is not going to fit into your democracy but will have a Kingdom upon Earth; the student most likely will become a teacher or at the least one who shares their understanding in a perverted framework of Scripture. Yehovah will place a kingdom upon this earth under His son. And we who profess that we believe in this son, Yeshua, must not try to convey Western thought into Scripture.

Individual freedom that we in America enjoy to the extent that we abide by the laws of the United States of America should be governed by the will of Yehovah within this society. We should be led by the Spirit of the living Elohim, Yehovah. Stating this is where it can get weird in the fellowships of believers. To be led by the Spirit can take on various meanings within the Kehilah and this is where we must employ the love of Yehovah shed abroad in our hearts with the understanding that as He loved us, He also loves our brother and sisters in the faith. Some may be in a childhood state of learning or under the leadership involving error. But remember we all state things according to our understanding. I teach my son that ‘to share is to care’, and we who believe in a Sovereign God over mankind, should speak and share what we have come to understand without hostility! We should be able to state strong terminology of a subject of discussion without ignorant rhetoric to set ourselves arrogantly above the one sharing in a group discussion.

The Sovereignty of Yehovah is the expressed view and accepted confession of our faith that our Elohim is in authority and complete rule over all creation. Yehovah is not subject to mankind on any level except the covenants cut between Him and His creation. And it is here that views differ in assorted ways in which theology is the brush and the Tanakh is the easel upon which the broad strokes of Christian theology create a tapestry to present to the world. In no way, was this tapestry created by the Apostles, nor was it formulated in their minds to do so. They understood the Torah through the mixing of takanot while attending the Synagogue and listening to Rabbinical advice, However, they had the Scriptures open up unto their understanding by Yeshua for forty days (Luke 24:45). Let that sink in when you read, in English, and do not understand; that a Pharisee, who was halted from acting on behalf of Judaism, by the Messiah, stopped the unrighteous judgment of the Kehilah and impending violence, which took the life of our beloved brother Stephen by accepting the testimony of Yeshua.

Hear, O Israel! Yehovah is our Elohim, Yehovah is one.

Deuteronomy 6:4

Entering the house with the son is a concept I am writing about within my blog, which, at the time of publishing this site, will be updated weekly, I would, however, like to share a brief thought contained within these writings. Reading this far, this site may appear overly Jewish. I assure you that it is in no way ‘overly’ Jewish. Much may be new to the reader; however, encountering the Jewish Messiah, you would most assuredly step back and say he was even more Jewish than that which Christianity ever unveiled him to be!
